Original Designs

We’re Jody & Jes, the duo behind Silent World Apparel. Since 2015, we’ve been designing and pressing our original designs onto t-shirts, hoodies, infant wear and tote bags, as well as making decals. We’re completely self taught and we put an enormous amount of thought into the creation of each design. Our current collection is inspired by the ocean and what lives within it. The designs are usually based on a photograph and then re-created by hand by the super talented Jody. It’s scanned in and vectorized and tweaked until we have the images you see on this site. We’re constantly adding new designs and if you would like to see one in particular, feel free to shoot us an email and we’ll add it to our idea list. Jody is one of those creative people who can do just about anything. If you have a chance, you should check out Jody’s other creations. She’s a needle-felter and doll maker and is the owner of Penguin & Owl Acres.

No Minimums

Due to the method that we currently use to decorate our garments, we do not require a minimum order. Many t-shirt companies use a silk-screen method for imprinting their shirts. This is a very labour and product intensive way to put images onto garments and this is why they generally require a minimum number of the same design/color shirts be ordered, otherwise it is very cost prohibitive to them. At Silent World Apparel, we use a plotter to make our designs on a very thin layer of t-shirt film. We then press the film onto the garment with a commercial heat press machine. This creates a design that is very soft to the touch and will generally outlast the shirt itself provided the proper care instructions are followed. So although we would love for you to order dozens of our shirts, because of our application method, we can offer a low price on a one off shirt. It makes no difference if you order 1 or 20.. Each shirt still requires the same amount of work per shirt.
