Where is Silent World Apparel located

We hate telling people where we live. Not because we don’t want you to know. It’s because when people come to visit this beautiful area, they want to move here.. Yep. You will too. But we’ll tell you anyways. We live in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island (Yes we live on an Island and no we’re not rich) in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.


What style/type of shirts do you use?

Please note that the style of shirts that some of our model mock-up images use are not the shirt we actually use with our orders. For adults, we currently use the Anvil crew-neck style of shirt by default for our orders. (980 Unisex / 880 Ladies). For our youth shirts, we use the M&O knits (5550 Youth). We reserve the right to use a different, equivalent manufacturer. If you would like a different style of shirt (i.e. hoodie/v-neck/scoop neck/long-sleeve,etc), please contact us first and we can work out a special listing for you.

 

Special Tote Days – What are they?

Aside from getting one of our amazing designs on a tote. We usually have a certain tote featured for a special price. We do this to highlight an upcoming ocean holiday. For instance, did you know there was a World Sea Turtle day? Yep. Who knew? Or a World Octopus Day? Yep! One of those too. Well what we usually do is offer one of our totes that reflects the ocean holiday at a special discounted price with 50% of profit going to an ocean themed charity. We try to offer these totes well in advance of the holiday to ensure you have it in your hands by the holiday so you can show it off to all your friends and make them super jealous.


Service Lead Time

At Silent World Apparel, we make almost all of our items on demand. We do not usually stock ready made items to go. However, we do
keep a large supply of materials and blank apparel on hand in order to minimize wait times. However, for certain select brands or
colors/sizes, we may need to order them after payment of deposit. This will add to lead time. Generally once we have all the materials in our
office, depending on the size of the order, we can usually have your items ready for shipping within 5 business days. If you need
items rushed, we will make every effort to cut down lead time, but please note that additional ‘rush’ fees may apply.


How many do I have to order? Any minimum orders?

Because of the method we use to make our shirts, we do not require a minimum order. Most places that use a silk-screen method for imprinting their shirts usually require you order a minimum amount of the same size/design of shirt to make it worthwhile for them. Although we would love for you to order dozens of our shirts, because of our imprinting method, we can do one shirt or 10 shirts. We do impose a minimum order amount for wholesale customers.


What size should I order?

You can visit our T-shirt Sizing Chart to ensure you’re ordering the correct size. All tees are measured in flat inches, so if you have a t-shirt that you particularly enjoy the fit of, you can lay it flat and measure it to compare to our chart. Please note that while we do our best to minimize this by using pre-shrunk 100% cotton shirts.(Cotton/poly blend for our Heather colored garments) Additional minimal shrinking can occur depending on the method of washing so if you are in between sizes you may want to order up to be safe.


What happens after I place my order?

Once we have confirmed payment, dozens of little elves begin work on your item. 🙂 Actually what happens is either Jody or I personally process your order. We like working with each other so much, we’ll probably work on your order together. In the event we don’t have part of your order in stock, we will notify you right away with an adjusted timeline. If we have everything, then we will usually have your items done within a couple of days and ready for shipping.


Can I pay with a check or money order?

At the current time, we do not accept checks or money orders. We accept Cash (if you’re located locally) or we accept credit cards via Stripe. We also accept Interact E-transfers and in a pinch, a credit card over the phone via SQUARE.


What currency are your prices listed in?

Our website prices are in Canadian (CDN) dollars. Yep.. You guys from the USA get a Skookum deal.


Coupon Code questions

I have 2 coupons! Can I use them both? *(Answer)* As long as they are two different coupons, by all means. For instance, if you have a free shipping coupon and a free sticker coupon, you can totally use them. However, if you have two free sticker coupon codes, only one can be used per order.

How do I use my coupon? *(Answer)* On the ‘Cart’ or ‘Checkout’ page, look for the ‘Have a Promotional Code?’ box and enter it there.

My coupon code isn’t working! *(Answer)* Be sure the coupon is still valid. If you think there is an issue, email us at [email protected] and we’ll look into it lickety split.

I forgot to use my coupon! *(Answer)* We are sorry but we can not apply a coupon to an already existing order, please save it for next time!

How do I get discount codes/coupons? *(Answer)* Subscribe to our newsletter or leave a review or enter one of our contests.


How do I return a wrong or defective item?

We check all items over before they leave our office. If you have received a defective item, please contact us at [email protected] and we’ll work with you to remedy it. Oh and if you could let us know within 30 days of receiving the order, that would be awesome.


What happens if my package gets sent back to you?

Did you move and forget to tell anyone? Well we hope this never happens but if it does, here’s how we’ll handle it. If it’s our fault, then we will re-ship the items to you and credit your account the original shipping costs. If it was your fault, we’ll send them back to you once you give us a correct address. We may ask for the new shipping cost to be paid for beforehand.


What if I have a problem with my order?

We try really hard to make sure everything that leaves our office is of top quality. Sometimes we may get it wrong. If you feel you’re one of the unfortunate wonderful human beings that received something not truly amazing, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to make it right. Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free standard shipping on orders shipped within Canada. We also offer free standard shipping to the United States on a minimum $50.00 order. Please keep in mind that this shipping method does not include any tracking information. For more information regarding our shipping costs and time frames, please see our Shipping information page.


When will I receive my order?
This is the million dollar question right here. The quick answer.. It depends. The more involved answer is once we have your items ready, we ship it as soon as we can. Depending on where you’re located, it could be anywhere from next day to weeks.. Please check our shipping page for more details.


My shirts are awesome! How should I wash them?

We totally understand that you want to take every precaution to avoid ruining your best shirt ever. We include care instructions with every order, but in case you lost it or gave the tag away, we recommend washing the garments inside-out in cold water. Hang Dry. Tumble drying in any temperature is not recommended. Higher temperatures can cause image film to crack. Never use bleach. Do not dry-clean and do not iron directly over image area.


Can I send you artwork to print?
